Our venue wasn’t always a beautiful wedding venue, The Compasses at Pattiswick began life as a traditional country inn serving the Essex farming community for generations.
But over time it has been restored and reimagined to be a wedding venue, maintaining it’s historial, rustic charm but now allowing for you to make the most memorable day with it’s space and comfort.
From the outside, it still carries the charm of its roots: low-slung beams, brickwork, and views that stretch across open farmland. Inside, the building opens up into a light-filled, open-plan space with a mix of rustic detail and modern finish. Exposed timber, flagstone floors and neutral tones make the space feel warm and relaxed, while also giving you a versatile backdrop to style however you like.
