We are blessed with a wonderful location! A beautiful old building with contemporary design, perfect for intimate gatherings, a spectacular setting with uninterrupted views and a convenient location, only a mile from one of the most accessible roads in East Anglia.

We are Jane and Jono Clark, and the reason the venue feels the way it does is because this has never been just a business for us. For more than a decade, we have worked side by side with couples, not simply hosting weddings but guiding people through one of the most important days of their lives with patience, warmth, and genuine care.
Our experience has not been built in boardrooms or through packages designed on paper. It has been built in real conversations, real wedding mornings, real last-minute nerves, and real celebrations that run long into the night. Over the years, we have seen every variation of wedding day imaginable, and that experience shows in the calm, steady way they support couples from first enquiry to final farewell.
Jane’s background in floristry and event work, alongside my instinct for hospitality and organisation, means we understand weddings from both a creative and practical perspective. We know how a day should look, but more importantly, they know how it should feel. Our focus has always been on making couples feel comfortable, supported, and confident that everything is in safe hands.
What couples often comment on is how personal the experience feels. We are always present, approachable, and invested. We care about getting things right not because it is our job, but because we take pride in seeing people enjoy a day that has been thoughtfully and carefully delivered.
After more than ten years of welcoming couples through the doors at The Compasses, our motivation remains the same as it was at the start.
